Westcor Credits Independent Agents for Increased Market Share
Winter Park, FL, September 13, 2007—Westcor Land Title Insurance Company, the nation’s leading independent title insurance underwriter, reports an increase in market share for the second quarter of 2007. According to preliminary data released by the American Land Title Association (ALTA), Westcor has strengthened its position within the title insurance segment.
Westcor advanced its market share from the first quarter of 2007, reaching a national ranking of tenth among compiled affiliated underwriters. In addition, initial data show Westcor as fifth in Florida among compiled affiliated underwriters. Share percentages for other states show sustained presence of 5% in Nevada and 1% in California. The figures also confirm steady expansion in the Colorado, Arizona, and Alabama markets.
As Westcor continues to solidify its market position among competitors for the second quarter of 2007, the company credits its independent agents for their role in its steady progress. "Our agents know that we support their hard-won successes, particularly with current market conditions. Their achievements, in large part, determine our company’s success in the industry," said Mary O’Donnell, president of Westcor.
Now licensed in 23 states, Westcor continues to grow nationwide by offering support and development to quality independent title agents. The underwriter attributes attaining a greater portion of the market to its business philosophy and practice of consistently providing outstanding personalized service to independent title agents.

Despite Slow Market,
Westcor Reports Increase
May 9, 2007
Though the market is slowing, Westcor Land Title Insurance Company (Westcor)
is reporting significant increases in its first quarter financial results. Agency
Title Premium revenue increased 17.4% and open Title Orders are up 30% as compared
to the same period last year. Westcor's pre-tax operating income gained 19.4% at
the close of 2007's first quarter compared to the first quarter of 2006.
Mary O'Donnell, Westcor's president, attributes the increase to the company's firm
commitment to the independent title agent. "Our growth signifies that our message
is resonating with independent agents," explains Ms. O'Donnell. "We anticipate our
growth to steadily increase as we take our message to other markets. That will fuel
our expansion nationwide."
Westcor 's business model is focused on supporting independent title agents. The
company's expansion is following the growth patterns of independent title agents
throughout the country. Westcor is not concentrating on market share, but rather
is fixed on identifying those agents that are best served by an independent underwriter.
These agents receive traditional underwriting services, along with personalized
advice and counsel from local representatives that can greatly contribute to an
agent's success.
